I recently went to this cafe with a bunch of friends. I really liked the appetizer which consisted of few pieces of garlic bread with this very unusual dip. It was all pretty delicious but I believe that the dip could have been a little better. As always, I tried it at home and I must say that the flavor if the dip was much better than I had anticipated. This can be served as an appetizer or eaten as comfort food when you have a ton of work to do and no time to set down for a proper meal.

Ingredients:

1 store bought French baguette
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 clove garlic chopped
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp. parsley chopped for garnish
Mayonnaise
1 clove garlic crushed
2 eggs
½ cup oil
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ tsp. mustard paste
½ tsp. oregano
1tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vinegar

Method:

For garlic bread, add all the ingredients into the melted butter and mix well. Spread over the slices of bread. Then Toast in the oven.

For mayo: add the eggs to the blender along with everything else except oil. Keep whizzing and pour the oil slowly little amount at a time. Blend till well combined. Dip is ready.
