If you wish to take a break from that monotonous life of chicken and meat meals then this is the recipe for you. Now some people are’nt big fans of seafood but I swear that if you give this a try, you will not be disappointed. Fish fingers can be boring but if you prepare them this way, you will be giving respect to that piece of fish and a proper send off that it rightfully deserves. You can’t have fish fingers without fries now can you but apart from fries, tartar sauce compliments fish fingers very well too. Even though they taste absolutely heavenly dipped in ketchup but if you try it with tartar sauce, you will be pleasantly surprised by how well they both go together.



  • 1 kg of boneless fish (cut into fingers)
  • 1 tsp mustard paste
  • ½ tbsp black pepper
  • ¼ tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • ½ tsp worchestire sauce
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cold water
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cornflour


  • Marinate the fish in all the ingredients for at least two hours.
  • Prepare a thin batter using one cup of flour and other ingredients.
  • Dip the marinated fish in the batter and then roll in the plain flour.
  • Fry over a medium heat till nice and golden.

Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • 3 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard paste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 5-6 pickled jalapenos(chopped)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Tabasco


  • Chop the eggs and jalapenos. Mix all the ingredients together and serve it with fish fingers.
